Kimberly Ostien Memorial Scholarship
Kim
graduated from Archbishop Prendergast High School in
2003. She was in the third track and received honors
all four years. When it was getting close to
graduate and awards were going to be given out, Kim
felt that not enough recognition was given to the
third track girls. They worked just as hard as the
first and second track students. So when Kim passed
away we remembered what she said, and decided to
start a scholarship fund in Kim's name for girls in
the third track who would work just as hard as her.
Prendie faculty picks a girl at the end of her
freshman year and awards the scholarship at the
closing Mass. Because of the tremendous donations we
received and from the golf outing, we were able to
present the first scholarship to a freshman at
Prendie's closing Mass in June 2004. We thank
everyone for the out-pouring of love and
contributions to the Kimberly Ostien Memorial
Scholarship Fund.
